Overview

CrosswordsDuo (“we”, “us”, “our”) respects your privacy. This policy explains what we store, why we store it, and how it’s protected.

Data We Store

• Gameplay data in Firebase Firestore: puzzle content, filled letters, timestamps, partner pairings, game progress, and simple counters used for features like streaks or challenges.
• Identifiers: randomly generated IDs for pairs/games. We do not request or store your real name, email address, or precise location.

How We Use the Data

• To synchronize puzzles in real time between you and your partner.
• To maintain history or streaks and restore progress after reinstalling.
• We do not use your data for advertising, profiling, or external analytics.

Third‑Party Services

We use Google Firebase Firestore (Google LLC) for data storage and synchronization. Communications with Firestore are encrypted (HTTPS/SSL). For Google’s privacy practices, see Google Privacy Policy.

Security

Access to Firestore is controlled by security rules designed so only members of a linked pair can read/write their shared game data. We regularly review rules to reduce broad access and apply the principle of least privilege.

Your Choices

• You may delete the app at any time; this removes local data from your device.
• To request deletion of Firestore‑stored gameplay data, contact us (below) with your pair or game ID and we will remove it.

Children’s Privacy

CrosswordsDuo is not directed to children under 13. If you believe a child has provided gameplay data, contact us and we will delete it.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy over time. We will post updates here with a new effective date.
